This is Halloween

A tradition that's just sort of ended up happening in our family, is each year we have made Gavin's Halloween costume (other than his very first one).  In 2011 Gavin went as a king, while Jared and I went as poor peasants under his rule... which sometimes feels not so far from the truth!  In 2012 Jared made an awesome Thomas the Train costume, that he absolutely loved!  For quite a while Gavin was obsessed with the show, "Super Why!"  and that's who he decided he wanted to be this past year for Halloween.

Another Halloween tradition is watching Nightmare Before Christmas
while carving pumpkins and decorating.

We turned all the milk jugs on the table into ghosts with glow
sticks in them to line the steps up to our place

Just south of us in Springville is a pumpkin patch with free tractor rides,
hay mazes, a corn pile, animals, and slides

Nixon, Eve, & Gavin!  I love our building with all our awesome neighbors!

Before Trick-or-Treating we headed down the street to the Rec Center's Halloween Party - Gosh was it packed!  Gavin was so excited to play a live version of Angry Birds!

You make Halloween into a special event! So much more to enjoy than just candy.
