Setting up Christmas
Since Thanksgiving was SO late this year, we decided to set up Christmas before heading down to Vegas to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Gavin trying to put the star on the tree...
Help!....I don't think this is working...
Gavin, how about I just put the star up?
Decorating with Daddy
Helping Daddy hang the advent calendar
After the tree and decorations were all up, we enjoyed
hot chocolate and Christmas stories by the tree!
When we arrived home from Vegas, Gavin was excited to see our elf, Bobo, had arrived to keep an eye on us and how we were behaving before Christmas. Each morning Bobo would surprise us by returning from the North Pole to a new spot in our home each day!
It's hard to see in this photo, but Bobo is hiding in Gavin's stocking
Pre-Christmas Visit In Provo
This past year my parents drove from their home in Mexico up to Canada to spend the holidays with family up there. On there way they stopped of in Provo for a visit and to celebrate an early Christmas here with us.
All Gavin wanted from Santa was a cool pen with lots of colors like Edens!
Counting presents under the tree
Lights at Temple Square
Making the gingerbread house
Learning how to make almond roca from my dad
Swimming at the Rec Center
Opening gifts!
Gavin enjoyed opening his, and helping everyone else open theirs as well
Making shortbread
And building a snowman
Christmas In Vegas
This year Christmas was spent with the Edgel's down in Vegas. I've really lucked out over the past five years of never having had to work a Christmas, which I've been very grateful for! On Christmas Adam (the day before Christmas Eve) we went shooting out in the desert.
Playing with cousins
Christmas Eve and Uncle Steve and Aunt Kay's house
Hugs from Great Grandma and Grandpa
Christmas Morning!
Chilin' with Grandpa
We also spend a fun afternoon at the Children's Discovery Museum, which is way cool! Unfortunately that's where my camera stopped working...so no pictures. But we'll have to go again when we're back in Vegas.
