Easter 2015

At the end of March our stake had its annual 5k run, breakfast, and Easter Egg hunt. I was planning on waking up for the run...but after a rough night of no sleep thanks to a fussy Liam, I opted to show up just in time for the breakfast instead. Gavin showed up to the hunt in his swim suit, because as soon as the egg hunt was over, we rushed to the Rec Center for Gavin's first swim class.

The Tuesday before Easter weekend Edgel's came up for a visit!  They had tickets to attend Saturday morning session of Conference, so it worked out great that we were able to spend Conference Weekend and Easter together! Like always, Gavin had a blast hanging out with Grandparents, playing with Jazzy, checking out the new trailer, and helping Grandpa with repairs.

Thanks for fixing the planter box and everything else!

We made it down to the Lake for some sailing

And out to Chili's for dinner!

The Easter Bunny found us!

We are so blessed to see family as often as we do! Despite not living right by family, we get to see Grandparents often! And especially with internet, phones, and Skype, I am grateful that my kids can have such a close relationship with all their grandparents despite not living in the same town.

March Happenings

I must say I have loved this year's winter. Although Gavin was bummed with how little snow there was, I had few complaints! With the mild winter weather we've enjoyed sailing trips to Utah Lake almost every weekend this month.

We signed Gavin up for swimming lessons at the Rec Center, and he has improved so much. On his first day he made sure to inform his teacher Melina that he did not want to put his head under the water. I told Gavin they wouldn't force him to do anything; however, they do "strongly encourage" him to go under the water. By his last class Gavin was going under the water to find the fish rings like a champ!

I am in love with the Rec Center! And will definitely miss it when we end up moving away from Provo. Every Tuesday and Thursday they have a Kid's Zumba class that Gavin loves going to whenever we can. Another fun activity is going over and playing racketball with Gavin. I also want to get back into a spin class - I was in one before, and loved it! And now that Liam is old enough for the child watch I hope to take more advantage of it.

In March there was a Science Palooza Day at the Rec Center. It was only $4 for kids, and free for parents! We made homemade snowballs, watched fire dance, checked out a 3D printer, went on a space mission, and ton's more!

Sampling our favorite Subzero ice cream - made with liquid nitrogen

Playing Pac Man with bananas

Checking out a wasps nest

And petting a SKUNK!

After our trip to Vegas we returned home with the Edgel's Rock Band!

Liam was more interested in trying to eat the drum sticks

Yes - we run through sprinklers...

...and have water balloon fights in March!

And of course more pictures of my Boys!

This kid is on the move - scooting everywhere and so close to crawling!
