Kids can be frustrating, tiring, and honestly a real pain sometimes... but compared to how much joy they add to my life I wouldn't trade what I have for anything! Whether we're out for a quick night of bowling and hamburgers, a full day trip to the Children's Museum of Natural Curiosity, or just hanging out at home on a lazy Saturday watching a movie and wrestling with Daddy I feel so blessed! I am one lucky wife and mother!

Goodbye Quinzee
It was fun while it lasted...but now that our quinzee is gone we've pulled the bikes out and are ready for some warm spring weather! February 8th Gavin and I finally got around to sleeping in our snow cave. Although we only made it till 2am, it was still fun (FYI...it wasn't the cold that forced us to come in - we were actually pretty warm in our room made of snow) and both Gavin and Daddy are already planning the one for next winter.
It took Liam a little convincing at first...
But soon he was going in and out right behind Gavin
Perfect height for a one-year-old!
Even Gavin could almost stand up all the way inside
As the snow continued to pile up outside, our entrance kept getting smaller and smaller!
Although there was room for all of us inside, squeezing in got a little more difficult for some.
It obviously didn't affect these two though
Heading out for our adventure...
...if I can manage to squeeze in one last time
Good thing we slept in it when we did!
The sun melted this nice window in the side just a few days later
And soon it was looking like this...
Although our quinzee is now nothing but a small pile of snow,
we also built some great memories...and possibly a new tradition!

Visitors
This winter we've enjoyed visits from both Edgel's and Trousdale's. In January, just after Janea got home from her mission, Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie came up to Midway for a quick visit! Tyler and Breanne also drove up for a day and we all went to the Provo City Center Temple open house together.
Then in February Allison drove up with her kids, also for the temple open house. It was a party having them spend Friday night with us, and the kids got to hang out at our place again on Monday while Allison visited a friend.
Allison and the girls slept in Gavin's room, while Gavin
and Isaac had a sleep over downstairs in the toy room

Ice Skating Fun
Gavin loved ice skating this winter! Despite all the falls he refused to give up and is now skating like a champ. Unfortunately we only went a few times this year, and will definitely look into season passes for next winter. It's nice they allow strollers on the ice so Liam was able to join in the fun as well! One Saturday Gavin's kindergarten teacher arranged a free skating day for his class and he had a blast skating with friends. And of course how can you go ice skating without ending with some hot chocolate and marshmallows!
