Gavin's New Bed

A while ago I started thinking about how we were going to fit a new baby into our already crowded home. Over the past while we've tried to declutter, and have even been successful in getting Gavin to agree to D.I. some of his old toys.  We started looking into getting a loft bed for Gavin, and about a month ago I found a good deal for one on KSL.  Gavin loves his new tall bed, and with the rocking chair and bookshelf fitting underneath, there is now space in Gavin's room for a baby brother!

I was going to wait till Gavin's room was clean to take a picture, but this one's more realistic of the typical state of his room.  His loft bed is often "Bucky" (the pirate ship from Jake and the Neverland Pirates), and the sheet hanging over the edge is Bucky's anchor.  We'll see how much longer I can crawl up there to cuddle with Gavin at bed time!
