Lately life has felt pretty busy with activities, holidays, and family in town... so it felt odd not having any plans this past Saturday. In fact, it was a pretty lazy day, but those are great every once in a while too.
A little over a month ago Jared found out about the Utah Lake Yacht Club, and about a BBQ social they were hosting that Saturday at Utah Lake. We went out for an entire day of sailing, and ended up joining the club. Since then we've been out either sailing or helping work on boats each weekend until my parents came to visit the first week in July. Traveling in their RV with my nieces , Elaina and Erin, on their way to California, it was fun to have them all in town over the 4th of July. That same week Janea entered them MTC, so we were able to have a short visit with the Edgel's as well. I've also been busy with a few sewing projects, organizing pictures, and watching at least some of the World Cup with our friends!
So after family all left, we opted for a quiet Saturday and decided not to go sailing. Gavin watched some movies, Jared worked on planes and other projects, and I finished embroidering Janea's towel from Patti and dropped it off at the BYU Bookstore with Gavin. After Gavin was in bed Jared and I went out on a date to Rita's (so delicious)! But now that it's been over a week since we've done anything with the ULYC, we're anxious to go out sailing this Wednesday!
