Somehow this summer seemed to just get away from us. Before we knew it it was nearing the end of August and we had not gone on a single camping trip. So the last available weekend before Gavin started back to school we took a trip to Bear Lake. Despite some windy weather the first day and noisy neighbors it was a great trip, and a great finale to our summer.
This little tent was a Christmas gift a number of years ago, but I think it may have have seen it's final trip. It's getting small for our family, the tarp was already torn, and after this trip the zipper no longer zippers.
These two have their moments, but for the most part Gavin is a great big brother and Liam loves hanging out with him.
Putting the kids to work - husking corn for dinner
Unfortunately we didn't arrive early enough to get a shaded campsite this year, but it's only a short walk to the beach where we spent most of our time anyways!
I'm not sure if the kids preferred splashing in the water or playing in the mud more!
