My only complaint about US Thanksgiving is, "Why does it have to be so dang close to Christmas?" In Canada Thanksgiving is celebrated the second Monday in October, even before Halloween, giving loads more time to get ready and excited for Christmas without crowding out any other holiday. But in all seriousness, I love Thanksgiving - time with family, reflecting on all my many blessings, and focusing on what is most important (and of course delicious food). It really is the perfect segue into the Christmas season where we can pass along our feelings of gratitude through giving to others.
Thanksgiving was spent in Vegas with the Edgels. Before heading down Jared and I attended a special Thanksgiving program in Gavin's kindergarten class, half in English and half in Spanish! We learned some awesome new Thanksgiving jokes, enjoyed songs, and listened to what each child was grateful for (in English first, and then in Spanish during the second part of the program in the Spanish classroom).
After school got out we finished packing up the car and headed down to Vegas. Time at Grandma and Grandpa's always includes lots of stories! Now that Gavin is learning to read it was fun to get him to read some of the stories... when he was willing!
I never really noticed until this past year how close in age Gavin and Teagan are. They are just one grade apart, and (most of the time) love hanging out together. Here's Teagan helping Gavin read a book.

Going over gun safety and learning how they work with Daddy
Shotguns and clay pigeons
I shot a a couple handguns, but spent most of my time hanging
out with this cutie away from the wind and cold
Rachel is awesome, and while in Vegas she took some updated family photos for us!
