The race was early in the morning, so afterwards Janea, Jayden, and Patti joined us for part of Saturday at Zion National Park.
We had such a great camping trip, and surprisingly Gavin did a lot better than we thought he would. Although he rode in his stroller on lots of the trails, he also loved being a big boy and hiking up the paths with us. He was so proud to wear his own backpack, full of his own stuff. We can't wait to go camping again sometime soon this summer!
There were lizards EVERYWHERE! Here's Gavin chasing one that ran under a rock
Gavin was such a big helper. He loved helping Daddy set up the tent and roast hotdogs
Gavin was a little mad that we wouldn't let him hike all of this trail on his own. Most of it was along the edge of a steep drop off, and Gavin was not a fan of being carried. Here's Gavin and I finally crossing this catwalk on part of the trail. There was nothing but a LONG drop below, and of course Gavin wanted to cross it all on his own.
The view at the end of the hike
Gavin and his own Gavin sized camping chair
While Jared and I took down the campsite and were packing up to go home, Gavin kept himself occupied by playing in the dirt and loved that we let him get so messy - I guess that's okay when you're out camping!
Love this Picture of Jared and Gavin!
