For Gavin's Birthday this year we had an airplane themed party at the park. And what better way to start off an airplane themed Birthday than getting to sit inside a real helicopter! We were out running some errands Saturday morning and saw the hospital helicopter on the field by the hospital. So we raced over to see if we could watch it take off. The pilot ended up inviting Gavin to look at the helicopter, and even let him sit inside the cockpit. Gavin LOVES pointing out helicopters and airplanes that fly overhead, so to be able to sit inside one was awesome!
Picking up Birthday Balloons for Gavin's party!
Gavin's Airplane Birthday Cake. I'm actually really surprised at how well it turned out! I was hoping to decorate it more with some coloured frosting but ran out of time. But the white chocolate chips turned out to be a big hit and Gavin wanted to pick them all off himself.
Blowing out the candle. Gavin loved us all singing Happy Birthday to him so much, that after we finished and he blew out the candle he asked for us to sing "Again!!!" We ended up singing and blowing out candles three times.
For Gavin's party we had a bunch of little snacks for the kids to make their own "trail mix", covered the table with paper and had crayons for colouring pictures, and had a bunch of little gliders and army paratrooper toys for the kids to play with and take home. There ended up not being may kids there, but it was still fun and Gavin could have cared less. He had a blast running around, eating gummy bears & teddy grahams, and throwing the planes around!

Our cute Two Year Old!
Here's Gavin playing at the pool in his new Spider Man life-jacket from Nana and Grandpa Ducky
Jared and I gave Gavin these alphabet fridge magnets which was a big hit. Gavin can find the 'Ss, Tt, Mm, B, and sometimes the R and i. He's a cutie!
Gavin loves his Mr. Potato Head! He loves wearing Mr. Potato Head's glasses himself even more.
Life sure is fun and never dull with an active two year old running around!
