It's a Spring Thing!

I absolutely love spring time! After being cooped up inside all winter, spring always seems to be full of excitement. The anticipation of warm weather and summer fun just around the corner starts to build as soon as the snow starts melting! Despite an April and May full of spring showers it was still better than the cold snow! Not only is the warming weather exciting, but my own energy level gets a boost in springtime as well. I can start anticipating fun outdoor things to do, and more light and sunshine just make me more happy. Here's what springtime looked like around here:

SPRING BREAK FUN

I don't garden. Period. In fact, I tend to kill anything green that grows...except for the giant Liam sized weeds in our backyard. But this year (thanks to encouragement from Gavin) we decided to try and grow cherry tomatoes. Between me and Gavin, I was definitely the more excited one when I woke up to these tiny green seedlings! We planted 15 seeds to start with, and although most of them did not make it thanks to curious babies and some missed watering, we still have six cherry tomato plants that are now transplanted and growing well in our backyard!  And we can't wait to get some tomatoes.

When it hasn't been rainy we've spent time outside with our new sprinkler, enjoyed backyard BBQs, trips to the park and rides in the wagon, fun at the swimming pool, celebrated Mother's Day and our anniversary, gave Liam his first hair cut, and took a weekend trip down to Cedar City for Tyler's graduation from SUU. There was also spring soccer, a trip to Disneyland, and a visit from Grandparents...but those each warrant their own posts, coming soon!
