4th Annual Zion National Park Trip

Zion has become our yearly tradition, and I absolutely love it! Our first trip was in 2012, and I'm glad we made it down again this year. Last month we kicked off the camping season with an extended weekend trip with the Wilsons and hope to go camping lots more over the summer.

Friday night we arrived at Zion National Park late with no where to camp, so we ended up setting up camp off the side of the road outside the park and were woken up by a bunch of mooing cows the next morning.

We entered Zion Saturday morning, found a spot, and the kids helped us set up camp

Even Liam got his own special tent to hang out in during the day

Less than 30 minutes and these kiddos were already covered head to toe in dirt

Hike to Emerald Pools

Upper Emerald Pool - Water and dirt and these kids are set

The next day we spent the morning hanging out by the river playing in the river and sand, and climbing trees. Last year Eve's cousin came with us on a camping trip, so when Gavin found out Naomi was coming camping with us again he was super excited!

Playing in the sand

This kid did great for his first camping trip

Love the views

We drove through Mt. Carmel Tunnel and found lots of mountain goats. The adults all thought it was cool watching them run across the mountain sides. The kids however, soon became more interested in playing in the sand at the side of the road. (surprise, surprise!)

Cute babies

So despite keeping the Mommy up all night he's still a cutie in the mornings

Chillin' by the fire with Daddy

Fun times with great friends!
