July was a busy month. Just five days after getting home from our Canada road trip, we hopped back in the car for another road trip down to Denver. Our good friends Jeff and Stephanie were getting married, so we were down for that. It was just a quick drive down, one night there, and a drive back the following day - but so worth it to meet up with old friends.
The day after we got back from Colorado Jared's family came up to Utah for a visit, and we had fun hanging out with them and spending Pioneer Day together.

At the end of July Jayden entered the MTC. He and Janea came up the day before, and we enjoyed lunch together at Zupas before dropping him off. He's serving his mission in the Denver Colorado South mission.
Between all our trips and visitors, we also spent lots of time swimming and playing at the rec. center, setting up Gavin's sandbox, and fixing Gavin's new bike. Our neighbour down the street got a new bike for her birthday, and gave her old one to Gavin. I wish I had gotten a picture of it before hand, but what started out as a pink barbie bike is now a blue boy bike. Dads sure are awesome!
August was maybe a little less busy, but still full of fun. We didn't get to go camping as much as we would have liked this summer, but we were still able to enjoy a trip to Bear Lake, and Gavin and Jared spent a night with the Wilson's down at Maple Canyon. I had to work this weekend, but here are pictures of Gavin and Jared on their rock climbing trip to Maple Canyon.
Our little rock climber!
Here are pictures from our Bear Lake camping trip. We were planning on staying for three days, but after lasting through the rain storm the first night, the second night was a little too much so we ended up packing up in the rain at about 9pm and heading home a day early. Despite the not so great weather, we still had a fun time together.
Despite the rainy evenings, the afternoon on both days was beautifully warm!
We had some dang good tinfoil dinners our last night!
And just in case you haven't seen enough pictures yet, here are some more photos of our summer.

Friends!
In August our friends next door moved down to Mappleton. Gavin sure misses having Jack right next door to play with... even if they did often fight more than play when the were together

Summer ended with another visit from the Edgel's and a Labor Day stroll/bike ride at Bridal Veil Falls - feeding the fish, playing in the water, and a game of Pooh Sticks on the bridge!
